Patrick Dahm

Patrick is a German attorney at law (‘deutscher Rechtsanwalt’) dual-qualified in both the common law and civil law traditions and with almost twenty years’ professional experience in law. He practises international arbitration as counsel (‘Prozessvertreter’), arbitrator (‘Schiedsrichter’) or official legal expert/expert witness (‘Sachverständiger’).

 

He also has extensive experience in corporate, commercial, shipping and IT law.

 

As a foreign practitioner Patrick has the distinction of being admitted to practise Singapore law in the permitted areas of legal practice (section 36B of the Legal Profession Act). He is a member of the panel of arbitrators of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (Reserve Panel), of the Chinese Arbitration Association, Taipei (CAA), of the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), of the Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation (IIAM), and of Delos, Paris. Further, he is listed as an arbitrator by the Vienna International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) and the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MARC).

 

Patrick is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (FAIADR), as well as a Senior Fellow of the Bali International Arbitration and Mediation Center. He is also a member of the German Institution of Arbitration (Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit e. V.), the Singapore Academy of Law, the Law Society of Singapore, the Bar Association of Berlin (Rechtsanwaltskammer Berlin), and the Indo-German Lawyers Association (Deutsch-Indische Juristenvereinigung e. V.).

 

He has published professional articles and delivered speeches and lectures on a variety of subjects, most of them related to international arbitration, commercial or internet law.
